ADELAIDE<\/h1>\n[\/heading][vc_column_text]Adelaide is a coastal city on the Gulf of Saint Vincent and was named after the British Queen Adelaide (Adelheid of Saxe-Meiningen) by the state’s first governor, Captain John Hindmarsh (1785-1860), in 1837.
