It is important for me to find out what is important to you, to find the right tour / accommodation for the right type. As a single backpacker, for example, you don’t want to end up on a tour with lots of couples and families. And vice versa. Some like to have lots of people around them, lots of parties. Others prefer to sit around a campfire with a guitar in the evening. I guarantee that I will do everything I can to make sure you are over the moon with your trip. The whole thing works like this. If you book something as a normal person, you only have the purchasing power of one person and you pay the full price accordingly. Since I book a lot of tours / accommodation / transportation, I have access to much better prices. This means you don’t have to pay anything for my service. On the contrary, you will even save money. I come from Leingarten near Heilbronn in Swabia and I love to travel, I have always traveled a lot in Europe and could never say NO when the opportunity for a trip arose. But my big goal has always been to go to Australia. A country that not many people I knew had been to, a country full of beaches, nature, animals and good-looking surfers. The dream of feeling the freedom and waking up every day without knowing what the day would bring. So I got a part-time job and started saving until I was able to fulfill my dream in October 2010. My cousin Nadine, my best friend Oli and I set off on a big trip to Australia. Since 2011 I have been working in the backpacker travel business, in 2012 I was promoted to manager in Melbourne and got a sponsorship, since June 2015 I have a permanent visa in Australia and since July 2016 I have been self-employed with Time To Backpack. For 6 years I had clients in front of me every day, helping them realize the dream of travelling like I did back then. I loved making people happy, seeing and advising them before the trip and then again afterwards when they were full of happiness and joy, when they were changed people. It was a very fulfilling job.

With the longing for home and traveling came the dream of a location-independent job. So I went on a trip around the world and while I was there, I set up the Time To Backpack website and started planning trips. I was then in South Africa, Brazil, Colombia etc. and continued to work my dream job in the meantime. The business grew very quickly and kept me busy full-time. I was also able to employ 4 other girls. After 5 years in Newcastle, Australia (about 2 hours north of Sydney) I felt the need to spend more time with my family, especially as we are now a small family ourselves with our offspring. We continue to run Time To Backpack exclusively online.
