Sydney to Cairns round trip

ROUTE

Sydney to Cairns

  • Day 1: Sydney
Your tour begins with a city tour of Sydney and an orientation of what awaits you over the next 3 weeks. In the evening, you’ll set off for Byron Bay in an air-conditioned bus with wifi, USB ports and adjustable seats.
  • Day 2 – 3: Byron Bay
Byron Bay is known for its beautiful beaches and the relaxed atmosphere that prevails throughout the town. We paddle by kayak to the easternmost point of the country and we may even see dolphins. If you’re lucky, you’ll also see whales and turtles. Take a trip to the famous Byron Lighthouse and explore the town and beaches.
  • Day 4 – 5: Surfers Paradise
Surfers Paradise is also known as the Miami of Australia: a 2-hour surf lesson is on the agenda today. While we explore the endless beaches during the day, we party in the best bars and clubs in town in the evening.
  • Day 6 – 7: Brisbane
The hostel in Brisbane is right in the city center. We will explore the city, including the City Lagoon, the Brisbane River and the cultural district of Southbank. The famous Australia Zoo is also on the program and admission is included.
  • Day 8 – 12: Fraser Island and Rainbow Beach
We continue to Rainbow Beach, the starting point for Fraser Island. We spend the next three days on Fraser Island. We explore the island in a 4×4 off-road vehicle, drive through the rainforest, swim in the island’s lakes and keep an eye out for rare Australian animals. We will spend the night in tents under a starry sky directly on the beach.
  • Day 13 – 15: Whitsunday Islands and Airlie Beach
In the morning we arrive in Airlie Beach, the gateway to the Whitsundays. From here we set off on our incredible sailing trip. For 2 days and 2 nights we sail around the Whitsunday Islands, enjoy unforgettable sunrises and sunsets, discover the underwater world while snorkeling and enjoy the breathtaking view at Whitehaven Lookout.
  • Day 16 – 17: Airlie Beach
Today it’s back to land, where you can spend 2 days exploring Airlie Beach. Whether at the Whitsundays afterparty in the evening or at the lagoon during the day. We can also organize a skydive for you or a scenic flight over the Great Barrier Reef and the Whitsundays Islands. Just get in touch with us and we will organize it for you!
  • Day 18 – 21: Cairns, Great Barrier Reef
We have reached the last stop on our tour: Cairns.
From here we head out to the Great Barrier Reef: on a day trip we snorkel at various spots on the Great Barrier Reef and with a bit of luck we will find Nemo, swim with turtles and watch stingrays.
If you still want to see the rainforest you can do this on your day off. Get in touch with us and we’ll be happy to organize it.
In the evening, we hit the bars in town and enjoy a last dinner together, where we look back on the last 3 weeks.
