Lake McKenzie – Fraser Island’s most famous swimming spot – relax on the pristine white pebble shoreline and take a dip in the crystal clear fresh water. Central Station – admire the towering trees growing from the sand and explore the rainforest boardwalk. Pile Valley – walk through the subtropical rainforest and marvel at the centuries-old satinay trees and towering palms. 75 Mile Beach – drive Fraser Island’s beach highway and take a scenic flight over the island with Air Fraser (optional extra). Eli Creek – drift downstream towards the Coral Sea! Maheno Shipwreck – Visit the famous rustic ruins that were once a luxury cruise ship. Washed ashore in 1935, it is now a photographer’s paradise! The Pinnacles Colored Sands – marvel at these spectacular technicolor sand cliffs and the Dreamtime story of how they came to be. Indian Head – as the easternmost point of the island, marine life such as turtles and rays are often spotted in the waters around the base of this rocky headland. Exclusive to the two-day itinerary Champagne Pools – Experience this amazing natural whirlpool as crashing waves meet the volcanic rock pools along the coast. Lake Wabby – Walk across Hammerstone Sandblow with your expert guide and be rewarded with a dip in this emerald green freshwater oasis.
