This Melbourne to Adelaide tour takes you along the world’s most famous coastal road and is available in both directions, from Melbourne to Adelaide and from Adelaide to Melbourne. The itinerary described here is from Adelaide to Melbourne, the route from Melbourne to Adelaide is exactly the same, just in the opposite direction. Day 1
We leave cosmopolitan Melbourne and drive along the world-famous Great Ocean Road. We pass legendary surf beaches before stopping in Kennett River to watch koalas and listen to the rich birdlife. After leaving Apollo Bay, we take a guided walk in the Otway rainforest and enjoy lunch. Later we visit the impressive Twelve Apostles rock formation and Loch Ard Gorge. Overnight stay in Warnambool. Distance traveled 360km.

Day 2

After seeing more wonders along the Great Ocean Road, we visit Tower Hill National Park, an extinct volcanic plain rich in Aboriginal history and an abundance of wildlife. Later, we hike to the famous Pinnacles lookout and have a fantastic view of the Grampians from the top. With an enjoyable traditional Australian BBQ and overnight in Halls Gap. (F, A) Driving distance 190 km. On foot 4.5 km.

Day 3
We start today with a hike to the foot of Mackenzie Falls, the highest waterfalls in the Grampians National Park. We then see some other famous sights such as The Balconies, Reeds Lookout and Jaws of Death. After an incredible few days exploring the coast and mountain ranges, we make our way across the western plains of Victoria to South Australia, arriving in Adelaide around 7:30pm. (F) Driving distance 510 km. On foot 2 km.
