Great Barrier Reef Day Trip Experience the Great Barrier Reef on a day trip from Cairns. Whether you’re a snorkeler, first-time diver or certified diver, you’ll spend a magical day aboard the AquaQuest with Divers Den. Explore the marine wonderland of the outer Great Barrier Reef, just a 90-minute boat ride from Cairns. We spend five hours on the reef visiting two stunning dive sites. These are carefully selected from our exclusive anchorages on Norman, Saxon and Hastings Reefs to give you the best conditions and diverse marine life, from colorful corals to curious nemos, turtles, stingrays and giant Maori wrasse.
ROUTE
Your way Down Under
8:00 am: Check-in at Cairns Marlin Marina and board the boat
8:30 am: Depart Cairns and safety briefing during the trip to the outer reef
10:00 am: Arrive at first snorkeling and dive site
12:45 pm: Continue to second site and lunch
1:30 pm: Continue diving and snorkeling
3:00 pm: Depart from reef
4:30 pm: Arrive back in Cairns
