Your journey from Cairns to Brisbane

  • Day 1
    Arrival in Cairns, where you will spend 3 nights
  • Day 2
    Day trip to the Great Barrier Reef incl. snorkeling (extra costs for trial dive if desired) (M)
    Extra costs: $15 Reef Tax to be paid locally
  • Day 3
    Day trip to the rainforest (M)
  • Day 4
    Check out from the hostel in Cairns, bus to Townsville and ferry to Magnetic Island. Here you will spend 2 nights in a beautiful hostel right on the beach (1 x F, 1 x A)
  • Day 5
    Free day on Magnetic Island, here you can hike in the national park, go snorkeling, hand-feed wild wallabies (small kangaroos) or hold a koala (koala holding is not included)
  • Day 6
    Check out from the hostel and take the ferry back to Townsville, from there continue by bus to Airlie Beach, where you will spend 1 night in Airlie Beach before sailing around the beautiful Whitsunday Islands.
  • Day 7-9
    Whitsundays sailing tour with 2 overnight stays on a sailing boat. There you will spend a lot of relaxing time on the boat, go snorkeling, sail around some of the 70+ islands and go to the BEST beach in Australia: WHITEHAVEN BEACH!!!! (2 x F, 1 x M, 2 x A)
  • Day 9
    Back in Airlie Beach there is also a farewell party and you spend another night in Airlie Beach
  • Day 10
    Today you set off on your first long journey by night bus to Rainbow Beach, spending 2 nights here
  • Day 11
    Arrive in Rainbow Beach, where you will spend two nights. The day is at leisure.
  • Day 12
    Free morning in Rainbow Beach, briefing for Fraser Island and group formation in the afternoon.
  • Day 13-15
    Fraser Island camping tour with a 4WD through the sand in the rainforest and along the beach. You’ll go to beautiful lakes and lookouts, play in the sand dunes and see the dingoes (wild dogs). You can even drive yourself if you are over 21 years old, otherwise you can still take part in the tour, but you are not allowed to drive. Groups of 8 are formed and the convoy follows the guide. (2 x F, 3 x M, 2 x A)
    Extra costs: $20 insurance and $15 sleeping bag rental fee if necessary
  • Day 15
    After an amazing tour, there is a small farewell party in the evening and you spend another night in Rainbow Beach
  • Day 16
    Continue to Noosa for 2 nights, chill on the beach and hike in the national park (discover koalas)
  • Day 17
    Free day in Noosa or day tour to the Everglades National Park (not included)
  • Day 18
    Bus to Brisbane, spend 2 nights here
  • Day 19
    Free day in Brisbane or take the opportunity to explore Australia Zoo (not included)
  • Day 20
    Free day, today you can explore the city or go swimming in the free city lagoon.

    Check out and end of the tour

Just get in touch with us and we will send you more information. – Individual tours within this trip may change slightly depending on the start days. For example, the free day in Rainbow Beach could take place after the tour to Fraser Island instead of before. We will inform you accordingly. – Minimum age 18 years. – This package is not a guided tour, you will be traveling from place to place by bus. On the tours you will be traveling in different groups. – Accommodation is in dormitories for 4 to 8 people and twice on the night bus.
